Prof. Barba is an okay professor. He teaches writing strategies fine but his class activities (mostly group work) are redundant and come very close to busy work as do his homework assignments. He's a hard grader and super nit picky. He comes off as condescending, pretentious, and unapproachable. Would not take his class again.

Great lecturer! I took his class over the summer so the material was really condensed but I still got a lot out of the class. Grading was done entirely by the TAs; essay prompts were tough but they were pretty easy graders. Weekly reading quizzes, but I did fine with just skimming. The final was really straightforward and he gave a study guide.
