TA gets excited about math, and tries to give students an idea as to what we're learning is good for. Sometimes his explanations are overly complicated, when we just want to see how something is solved. He sometimes would stay after class to clear up questions. No quizzes, but grading on exams was strict (prof's rules, not his).
Not a bad professor, but just tends to explain concepts using a holistic approach. Given that I already had prior knowledge of the subject, he was able to expand and connect together different ideas. However, if this were my first time learning vector calculus, I believe I would've had a less enjoyable experience.
This guy managed to go almost a whole quarter without doing a single relevant example, had extremely poor coordination with the professor, and made concepts much more complicated and difficult than was necessary. He also took attendance that was never factored into the final grade.
Horrible. Made simple concepts and problems way too difficult to understand. Focused on problems that wouldn't be on our exams and wasted our time with them. It was an intro calculus class, definitely needed to tone the class down. AVOID.
