Good professor but he tends to repeat himself. Essays were straight forward but make sure to use definitions from IN lecture. Section is optional but helpful.

The material is very interesting and the lectures are clear for the most part, however he tends to repeat the same few points, which is sometimes helpful but it gets boring. He's harsh on his grading for the three exams, but didn't give much feedback for the scores. Tends to shuts down questions and is strict on his interpretation.

No HW; 2 in-class essays, 30% each, and an at-home final, 40%, which was 3 short essays, online, and we had a week for it. If you read the books (I skimmed), you'll be fine. I never went to lecture/section and got a B. If you want an easy A, it's probably not the course for you, unless you go to all classes, read and reread, and are a good writer.

Super disappointed by this prof., his reviews are excellent, and did not live up. He is stubborn, closed off to feedback, questions... Two in-class essays and a final. That's it. Would be fine if TAs gave helpful comments to improve, but even if you make changes, you won't do better. Even if you try SO HARD, your grade won't reflect that. DONT TAKE

Elizondo is extremely intelligent, and it shows. The problem is, he doesn't seem to care about his students very much. He shuts down questions and is an extremely harsh grader. I've never tried so hard in a philosophy class and still been this cooked. I would definitely advise against taking classes with him unless there isa TA grading.

He's okay. I expected a lot from him, given his reviews, but I was underwhelmed. He doesn't really seem to care about his students, and it shows. He cares a lot about his interpretations of the text and nothing else. Interesting material, but the lectures were SOO boring and confusing since he just repeats himself over and over again.
