Cool guy. He's funny and his lectures are engaging. He plays lots of relevant, classical musical as well as contemporary. It's nice to learn a concept and then actually hear the concept in action afterwards.

Mike is awesome. This class definitely needs a lot of attention, it's a tough class but he's always there to help. He uses all types of music to explain the topics. Lectures are really important and labs/sections are mandatory, or else your grade is lowered. Great class overall and Mike is an awesome professor for it!

Mike is very enthusiastic about music and he makes the subject matter pretty fun. The class itself is pretty easy if you have musical background, but tends to be hard for people who don't. The first 5 weeks of class are a breeze and then it starts to get hard. Either way, good professor!
