Good class overall, 1 midterm 1 final and 1 paper based on a novel. she did offer one extra credit assignment which saved my grade! she is a prof that truly cares for her students she rocks! TA's were nice too.

I took this class for a GE because it sounded cool. Was wayyyy harder than I expected. The amount of specific details that we had to remember from lectures and readings was way harder than any other class I have taken. If you are really really into anth, you will probably be ok but dont take this looking for a chill GE.

Great lecturer. No textbook for the class, but a workbook type thing with a compilation of articles. Lectures are a must, though she does post a bit of notes online.

Gamble is an amazing professor. She makes the class really interesting and the test are fair. Try getting Craig Smith as a TA. He is really easy.

Gamble is an awesome teacher! I learned a ton and she made the material very interesting and easy to understand. She really wants everyone to succeed and her tests were very fair. Super fun class!

during lecture, the material seems very straight forward and easy to grasp. come exam time, the TAs grade very hard on the essay portion and super picky about details. i barely got a B and i studied hard. take THOROUGH notes, and dont miss class even though she posts "slides" on GS. they are just outlines. good novel assigned to write an essay on.

Went too fast in lecture. Midterm was very easy, and final was hard. 3 writing assignments that are really easy. Overall, alright teacher.
