Okay teacher, not the best.

Joel was the best theory teacher I had at UCSB. He's an excellent musician, so he can explain things in terms that musicians understand. I learned more from him about music than I had from my voice teacher. You should try to take his classes (whatever it is). You'll become a better musician.

Highly recommend this class. Fun and challenging. Joel is really passionate about music.

Professor Hunt is brilliant, and more than willing to share his knowledge. His class may be difficult, but don't let that scare you. He's always available for extra help.

Joel's cool. Very clear and helpful. The class is not that necessary to attend besides when you have to go hand in your homework. But it's very recommended. Attending the section is a must though! Dont worry about Joel he's great. Think about which TA you'll have!

He's a great professor. He's clear about what he expects and doesn't waste time talking about extraneous stuff. But the real drag with this class is the students. Bunch of wannabe Mozarts who think that everyone cares that they know the difference between treble and bass cleft. This class seems to attract the pretentious type. Joel's cool though.
