He is now teaching at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL and is possibly the best instructor I've had. Very thorough and logical thinker. The way he presents the content in lectures is interesting and really makes you think. I've taken two courses w/ him and would take more.

Definitely one of the best lecturers I've ever had at UCSB. I wish I could take more classes with him. He is SO engaging.

linehan is awesome! super clear in his explanations, doesnt push you towards anything, simply presents material, also gives handouts of all lectures so you don't have to worry about taking notes, you can just sit in lecture an absorb the material.Im a phil minor so im super interested in the topic, if ur not idk if u'll find it interesting at all

Great guy. Very nice and always ready to offer you class however I hated the class. I found the tests really hard and the material just difficult to follow. The teacher did his best to make it interesting and clear but philosophy in general is just a dull subject in my opinion

Professor Linehan is amazing! I took phil for a G.E. and I wasn't really interested in it, but this is my favorite class! Could be better if it wasn't at 8 a.m. but hey that's what coffee is for!

Take ANY OF HIS CLASSES! Timothy is one of the best professors I've had at SB. He is engaging, uses EXCELLENT examples, gives out a good study guide, and is extremely approachable. I wish I could take more of his classes, but they're at 8am :(

Great class, I didn't think I would like epistemology but he made the class interesting. highly recommend!

very goood teacher, funny during lectures and class is never boring. He hands out his powerpoint slides/notes which is really helpful because that is all you need for the exams. Overall great professor and very easy class.
