I did not particularly enjoy this class. Professor Nance appears to be a young inexperienced professor. His lectures can be confusing at times but if you ask him straight out what he means he will do his best to explain it to you. He can be patronizing at times if you disagree with him.

Great instructor! Mr. Nance is very knowledgeable and tries hard to be helpful. This is a very interesting class, topics are a little weird but you learn a lot. Don't take this class for granted, it is a hard class but if you attend class every day and take note then you'll be fine. If you miss class you'll not do good in the exams.

Philosophy is a hard topic, especially knowledge and logic but he does a really good job of explaining it in class. He has his PhD in philosophy so he knows what hes talking about! Just do the readings and at least try to pay attention and you will do fine. Surprisingly, not that much reading is involved, even during a summer semester.

I took his Logic class at Fresno City. Nice guy, funny, but is difficult to follow for note taking. He can be very confusing in his lectures.

very cool teacher. buy the book and take notes and you'll do well in his class. hes really funny in a quirky kind of dorky way but I enjoyed him and his class. well dressed, too. I think that was my favorite thing about him. total hipster.

He's still a graduate student at ucsb. Like a lot of the new teachers at ucsb. Pretty laid back class. As long as you go to class and do the readings. but most importantly understand the content that was presented in class, then you can get an A in the class with no problem. Its a hard subject but he does a good job presenting the material!!
