Pretty boring class with a lot of work. I've taken three philosophy classes and this was by far the least bearable. The material is so dry and writing an essay for this class is a miserable process. Luckily, the final was pretty simple as long as you study. Overall, bland class with a heavy workload and a pretentious but tolerable teacher

Don't take this class unless you are exceedingly passionate about medieval philosophy. The material is boring and Rob doesn't make it much better. He is quite pretentious and is the master of talking in circles. Take it if it seems interesting to you, but I wouldn't recommend it. LOTS of papers, get ready to write.

Enthusiastic philosopher

Rob's class was really interesting and fun. As reluctant as I was to take a full course on medieval philosophy, Rob was always well prepared for lecture and is a great speaker. He is obviously passionate about the subject matter and offered up his opinions to be analyzed in our assignements. Take good notes and you will do well for sure.

Rob is so helpful and funny! He's pretty cute too... He also doesn't mind letting you know his viewpoint, which helps you learn as well! I definitely want to take him again!
