Butzer's definitely knowledgable and the subject matter was really interesting. His lecture style is a little cluttered, and the material is tough to completely grasp since it's so abstract. The course moves quickly and just briefly addresses some really in-depthcontroversial topics. Pretty easy classfinal overall.

Attendance is not mandatory but the class is really interesting. Tim explains everything really well so the readings are totally optional. 3 papers and a final. For the final, do the study guide and you'll be set.

He is so funny and young, he'll keep you interested throughout class! DONT do any of the readings, just follow along in lecture and you'll do fine. 1 BAD thing about him= HE GOES TOO FAST with this slides, but he posts them online so as long as you remember the jist of it you'll be fine. Final=EXACTLY study guide. Papers=super easy.

Some information was interesting and some not so much, but Tim did a great job of explaining things, made the class funny at times. Lecture not mandatory but it helped. Don't buy the reader. 3 papers, all pretty easy, worth 60% of your grade. Final was 30% and wasn't hard at all, just needed to memorize concepts. Caravello was a really cool TA.

Class overall was good. Learned a lot although at times you will find that ethics is just talking in circles. Your grade basically depends on your TA.

He is really funny and clear. didn't really use reader much since he basically explains everything in lecture about the readings. i think he used to be a ta since he is very young. thought it'd be super easy but my ta was a hard grader. easy B hard A class. should def. take it with him, makes everything REALLY clear and understandable.

Course is pretty terrible, but Tim does a good job of teaching it.

Great section leader. I think I looked forward to going to section more than I did lecture because he always got the class to participate and engage in the topics. His section supplemented lecture really well. He is a hard grader, but go to his office hours and it will help a lot if you're looking to improve your grade.

Tim is a very intelligent and helpful TA. He is a tough yet fair grader and his section supplements the class very well.
