she is a brilliant educator

Very non-theater major friendly. Attendance is mandatory, but the class is super fun so thats no problem. The people I took the class with were so much fun; made a few pretty good friends. Also, wear clothes that you can stretch in. Didn't mind the writing too much.

She's awesome and helpful. A bit of writing; there was one 3 page essay written between scene partners, one 3 page essay for the monologue, and 3 one page self-evals. evals are quick and easy to write and she outlines exactly what she wants for the papers. If you do what she asks and put effort into your scenes, you'll get an A. READ THE SYLLABUS.

Despain is extremely helpful, and you really come to love her. She comes off a bit harsh at first, and the class required more writing than i thought it should have, but it was definitely worth it. This class is basically 2 hours of playtime every other day. I highly recommend taking it with her!
