Prof. Fisk is enthusiastic, both about his class and his students' success. His lectures are organized and succinct, he will meet with any student about questions, and his exams are fair. Just because he expects his students to do the work, doesn't mean he deserves a poor rating (as some of the reviews here suggest). Do the work and you'll succeed.

Talks too fast, gives too much reading and outside work. He says he cares about his students, but he makes people feel stupid if they say the wrong answer.

Very helpful in explaining the American Art of late 19th and early 20th century according to social and economical changes, by representing the related materials such as Powerpoints, Readers and lectures. Now I am a big fan of Thomas Moran and Frederic Remington...Thank you.
