I love Ryan Boyd!! Very down-to-Earth professor. He will help you get the grade you want, no matter what. Very chill guy in every way. Take his classes!!!
He is really helpful and intelligent professor. However, he is tough grader. Anyway, I highly recommend him!
Boyd is a smart, relatable professor, but Warning!! His classes are *hard* compared to lot of others. You'll always know what he expects and why you got the grade you got, but don't expect an easy "A". lots of reading and writing. I still enjoyed the class a lot though and recommend Boyd
Worked several long days and nights for the B that I earned. Wrote a paper literally every single week - it was a never-ending nightmare for my first ever quarter of college - complete with a 12-page final paper. However, Boyd is nice, helpful, and extremely intelligent. He will MAKE you a better writer. If you have him, don't slack, and good luck!
Boyd was definitely one of my favorite professors of the quarter. Not only was he super engaging and assigned some really interesting readings, but it seems as if he genuinely cares about his students and whether they are successful. Great guy.
Boyd gives great paper feedback, altho it often comes with a grade lower than you might want, especially if you slacked on that the day before, lol. But his class discussions are AWESOME, he's a funny dork. Lots of reading FYI.
AWESOME topic of Suburbia extremely fascinating, he is helpful and clear and knows so much information. One of the best professors I have grown to know, he really is phenomenal at what he does.
Ryan was so helpful and understanding. He was a really interesting teacher and you could see his passion for the subject. He's a really clever and funny guy if you like grammar humor. The assignments were pretty cool and I really feel like I'm a better writer now. Definitely recommend him!
He was a great writing instructor and I really felt that I could talk to him during office hours. Not a hard class if you do the work. Readings were always interesting.
I agree: great teacher. Although i don't think he's a hard grader: he lets you do multiple drafts and rewrites and its not hard to get an A if you work
Came into class dreading it but he is a great ta. Kind of a hard paper grader, but great in class, super helpful in office hours. Readings were pretty fun.
