Professor Grigoryan is definitely the best math professor I have ever had, and might be the best professor in general I have ever had. He single handedly made Math interesting to me. He is super helpful during office hours, and even though the class material is difficult, he finds a way to make it understandable and fun.
Hot professor with cuteness and a sense of humor, very reasonable and sophisticated with the math knowledge
One of my favorite professors! He works hard to make sure students understand the material, and he is generally cool person. I thoroughly enjoyed his undergrad and graduate PDEs classes.
I have mixed feelings about the professor. His shyness may make you feel as though he doesn't like you. His lectures aren't terribly engaging, but the material for the class wasn't terribly exciting either. I would think carefully before taking him again simply because I couldn't say whether or not I enjoyed his class.
Sadly its a bit uncommon here to have profs apt at teaching both lower & upper division material, yet he IS. For 124A^124B he typed up Latex lecture notes & homework solutions; I would have gladly paid more for his notes than the text. Is he difficult? Yes but certainly NOT unfair. Given that you put in effort, he ensures you understand material.
Kind of a shy guy, but solid professor. Very clear explanations, not just some genius dude that writes hieroglyphics on the board. First half of class is just a review of math 8. Midterm is 40% of grade (half of that is take-home). Final is 40% of grade (half of that is take-home as well). If you need 117, take it with Grigoryan.
This is the kind of professor who really wants to teach. He will type out lecture notes in neat PDF format and post them upon the website. Friendly and helpful after class.
such a good teacher. his voice is slightly monotonous so it was hard for me to stay awake when i was tired but its soo worth it if you do. definitely take this class.
A professor I would definitely recommend. Very thorough and answers questions clearly. Always goes over any homework questions during lectures. Exams are fair and partial credit is always given. If you attend lecture you will do well, and do the practice tests because they are a great preview of what material will be on the exams.
Such a nice guy! Go to lectures and CLAS and you will have no problem with understanding the material. Homework got difficult near the end, but working with other students made the load a lot easier. He really wants to help students learn, and the tests are all pretty predictable since he gives out practice tests. Easy class if you do the work.
Viktor is a stud. He keeps the class fun and really helps you learn. I liked him as a teacher from day 1. Take his class, its worth it.
Loved him! That's hard to say for a mathematics course.. He's quirky, makes you laugh & teaches all at the same time. His examples & lectures are very clear/concise. He puts forth an A+ effort to make sure students understand concepts. Exams are fair & follow practice exams. If I could have him as a prof. for every bus. math class I'd be stoked! :)
