I took Grad. Seminar in Global Lit from Mike, after illness and emergency caused me to have to drop for a semester and then retake the course. He is a great professor, giving excellent feedback and participation in discussions, lessons, etc. Be ready to work. I would highly recommend him as a professor and would gladly take more courses from him.

Great Teacher!

I loved this class.Mike chose books that were published this yr about New Media (i.e.'Why Obama Won'& 'The Pirate's Dilemma'). We were allowed to be frank in his class.There was actual Internet in the classroom, which should be mandatory for courses about new media (the Comm depart could learn a thing or 2).This was an easy,mind stimulating course

Mike is so cool. He really invites discussion in the class space, doesn't do the whole awkward icebreaker thing, and is of course very smart. Helpful during O.H. Take his class I don't know anyone who didn't like him.

Mike is a great professor (instructor/grad student). He puts a hell of a lot more time into the class than most professors. Makes a great environment for participation in class, but also offers online participation. regardless of the material, if you take his class, you will learn, discuss, and improve your writing skills a lot. TAKE HIS CLASS!

really nice and open minded guy. hard material which made for a hard class (modernist stuff). not for those who are unsympathetic to poetry or who think that much of it is BS in general. this stuff will be rammed down your throat. two hard papers and a hard final. be prepared to work in this class.
