Should be rolled up in a ball, stuffed in a canon, and shot to the moon. Very poor teacher. Learned nothing.
Oh Fanchon, how i loved to hear you talk! oh how i hated that your tests had questions and terminology never discussed in class. oh how lucky i was to discover where you got your questions:USE THE WEBSITE THAT GOES WITH THENON-REQUIRED BOOK. its the only reason i got a b i discovered it by the final
all around bad teacher. tests are completely unfair and did not relate to material, made my quarter a living hell! what is up with the bus econ program at UCSB? Safe yourself the misery and wait for a better teacher for econ2!
WORST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD! I DON'T recommend taking this class with Fanchon. The midterm and final were very difficult and the sample problems he gave were nothing like those on the tests.
He presents the information clearly during lecture, but the tests are nothing like what you learn or the practice tests. I'm amazed I passed with a B-.
This is the worst professor I've had at SB. He needs to figure it out.
DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. His tests barely relate to the class notes, and he is so boring. He simply reads his own notes offline..
Worst professor ever. None of his practice tests help, he's practically useless in and out of class. Don't take him if you want a good grade, or want to learn something about econ, or just want an easy class.
This guy is the worst! I got mono a few days before his midterm: I couldn't even reach his email or phone until the day of the test, and he didn't even let me take it later! He didn't help me at all even afterwards when I went into his office to ask him for fairness or anything, just gave me generic advice about studying. Stay away from him
Avoid this professor at all costs. He posts all his notes online and does nothing in class but read them. His tests hardly match up with any practice tests, and he does not help at all during office hours, rather he gives pointless advice about how to do well in class. His French accent only makes things worse. The book's not even mandatory.
