A very kind and approachable Professor who is also very knowledgeable in Creative Industries. His performance as a Professor brings a lot of help with understanding the material and allows students to do well in the learning environment of his class. His midterms and finals are fair game to content provided in lecture.

best TA ever. would be an amazing professor! his teaching style is the perfect balance of professional and personal. his lectures are engaging and make class content easy to digest. extremely knowledgeable about social networks! ask him about "homophily" and you'll be his new fave.

Great instructor. I would recommend this class for anyone interested in taking Sociology 1. Covers a lot of material but puts it in a way in which you learn and enjoy class. Great sense of humor! The best class I've taken at UCSB in my full 3 years!!

This was one of the best classes that I've taken at UCSB so far. His lectures are fun and informative and he relates the information to real life so it is easier to understand the concepts. Took this class in Summer Session B 2009...wish it didn't have to end so soon :).

Took Clayton's soc 1 class for summer session and loved it! It was one of the most interesting classes I've taken at UCSb thanks to this instructor and the way he relates material to real-life situations. Class is easy if you do the readings and attend class. Great sense of humor! I highly recommend him!!!

Awesome TA

Clayton was by far the best TA I've ever had. He's really helpful and passionate. He really knows the material and he definitely keeps the interests of his students a priority. His sections were never boring and I always looked forward to them.

Clayton was the TA for my Soc 1 class. Much more interesting than the professor. He spoke very passionately and always had new and interesting information or activities. Very interactive with class and encouraged thought provoking subjects. Definitely the best TA I've ever had.
