This class turned me on to evolutionary psychology. I really like what we learned about why humans have emotions too. I don't think Schniter is around any more though, too bad we need more great teachers and interesting classes.
I had Eric as a TA my freshman year, and his office hours got me so excited about the subject material that I decided to major in Physical Anthropology instead of History. His teaching is excellent (very clear). Lastly, it bothers me when teachers don't understand a question being asked, but answer anyway. He always addresses the question very well
Honestly the worst class I have ever taken.
Take him if he teaches 107 again. A friend is taking it with Kundu and it seems not as good.
Pretty cool class. He showed all kinds of movies about shamans, magic, superstition, illusions, and weird****e. An easy A, just go to class and study the "guides". Let us drop our midterm, so that we could learn from it and know what expect of the final. Long 3 hour class at night, uGH!
After reading the course description I knew I had to take Anth 107. I love how we got to explore a vast array of issues, from religion to magic. While 3 hour classes can be painful the videos did a good job of breaking up the class and keeping my interest. If you had a question that Eric didn't have an answer for, you'd get it the next lecture.
