Okay, let me just say that the material covered in this class is very easy to understand. If the exams were entirely based on the material covered in the slides and textbooks, then everyone should get an A. However, Dr. Holbrook makes very frustrating exams that test you on your ability to memorize the examples covered in lecture. She's also boring

The class was pretty difficult due to answers on exams having to be very specific. However, the class was enjoyable and was able to learn some interesting things. Pulled an A in the end just make sure to study lecture slides to the last detail. Book is not necessary.

Ecology demands a dynamic curriculum and hand holding to promote the necessary thought pattern for its understanding. This was not provided by Prof. Holbrook. Unfortunately, testing meant more consideration was given to filling in axis labels, than interpreting the graphs. Scrutinized grading meant a comical answer key, nitpicking points away.

Very hard prof, tests are hard and she is an analytic grader.

Tests are tough, its mainly all written with some multiple choice. A lot harder than the other ECOL120 professors. I would avoid if I were you. Oh yeah also no curve... the average for the second test was like 65%.

Dr. Holbrook is a really nice lady but don't be fooled by her kindness, the exams are the complete opposite of her personality! Take my advice and always study and understand every single slide down to the last bitter detail, and never fall behind! You must understand every single concept, class average was like a 50% and curves to a C for ECO120.

So helpful and sweet. Very understanding and speaks clearly.
