Professor Hirsch is a great teacher. She is honestly very easy when it comes to grading, assignments, and workloads. I never had to edit my essays and got an A in her class and enjoyed certain parts of the class which had never happened to me in previous writing classes.

Hirsch is an amazing professor, you can tell she truly cares about her students and really enjoys her job. As for the course itself, it id very easy, 3 essays and a review portfolio, minimal readings each week, but honestly you can get by skimming readings for discussion. Hirsch is a very fair grader, definitely recommend!

I was definitely not a fan of writing before entering this class, but Hirsch works from the ground up to make everyone a decent writer. There are 3 easy writing projects and at the end of it we got to watch The Great Gatsby! My easiest class this quarter!! Definitely try to get her class if you're taking Writ 2.

The work load is pretty large, but amazingly, I didn't really mind. Sarah has a way of secretly slipping your subconscious information and confidence. We worked the whole quarter to finish a 12 page paper, and she made sure we were prepared and comfortable. Topics are chill and super interesting.

She's a really nice teacher. Although her grading is hard if you go to her office hours and ask for help with the papers it's almost certain you'll get an A. Def would recommend.

Really good teacher, makes time to meet with you when necessary. Always willing to help. She is very friendly and enjoys teaching and getting to know her students. Sometimes the assignments would be unclear and her lectures unorganized but overall still comprehensible. I would recommend her to anyone!

She's an excellent teacher, easy grader, friendly, helpful, prepared, good material. You can tell she's really passionate about english. Highly recommend taking any class with her.
