We finished ESM 203 a week ago. It was maybe the most fantastic course Ive ever taken. Both professors were engaged, helpful, sympathetic and sometimes funny. Exams were a bear but I aced the final.

I'm taking ESM 203 from him now. We are a week into the course and I think he's great. He expects a lot and maybe assumes we know more than we do (I'm working on the 1st homework now) but he's helpful about the way the earth works.

Lectures went a little fast for me at times but Jeff is easy to talk to and available. I really appreciated how much he want me to learn his stuff.

Pompous, self absorbed. Very passionate about his work, but throws his travels and wealth in your face which hurts willingness to listen to him teach.

Passionate about his field. Excellent Telemark skier.
