You seriously have to learn the material yourself. Weekly quizzes are a pain. And the midterm and final was way harder then expected.
Didn't teach the material. She only went over example problems. We were expected to learn the material ourselves. The number of hw assignments was insane, especially since it was only 10%. Quizzes were fine. Midterm was easy. Final was WAY harder with material that wasn't on quizzes & she barely curved it. I went from an A+ to a B+ because of final
He has both online and in-class lectures which are moderately clear, though he can be boring at times. He has iclicker questions which mainly focus on concepts. He assigns a moderate amount of homework, some of which can be quite difficult. His tests are extremely difficult and he has a pre-set curve. He seems willing to help.
Professor Karmis teaches physics in a way that's understandable to students who don't necessarily excel in this subject. With that being said, the course is still fairly challenging. If you do all the homework and understand what's happening in lecture you'll definitely do well in the class, but it is still physics and exams will still be difficult
Really kind professor that wants his students to learn. The final and midterm were pretty tricky for me, but I'm not the smartest person out there. Everyone else in the class I talked to did fine.
Finally an amazing Physics professor! Dr. Karmis is very patient in lecture, and he explains each step to ensure understanding. Unlike other Physic professors, he TEACHES in class. He truly wants his students to do well in the class. Best professor ever!
