Very fun class, ask him about anything and hes willing to discuss it during class. Very personable and understanding. Also he curves his tests a lot so Cs may turn into As

Would not recommend class, graded on a few things.

ECON135 . 2 Years Ago

Knowledgeable but an extremely confusing class. 3 MC exams and a Final with 3 or 4 long problems. Learned nothing because I spent all my time memorizing minute facts that ended up being left off the exams. Wish I could have written a paper or something to truly show what I learned from this class. No one went to lectures. Avoid if you like your GPA

Simply a terrible teacher. He's knowledgeable but he lectures extremely fast and long winded. His resources are extremely bare-bone (barely any explanations, only answers) and the lecture slides consistently contradict each other, making midterms/final borderline impossible to efficiently study for. Be prepared to attend every office hour for the A

Lectures are dense and extremely disorganized so its almost impossible to follow along in class. Grade is based solely on 3 quizzes and a final, where 1 quiz is taken right before you take the final. Only thing saving this class is the super heavy curves he puts on every quiz and the fact that they're all multiple choice. Would not recommend.

Gives so many extra credits that half of the class can get a full grade in the second midterm. Homeworks and readings are graded mostly based on completion. Lectures heavy and like to include many materials outside the textbooks but overall manageable. Work hard and could be an easy A for a remote class.

Super chill & knowledgable in everything monetary, fiscal and macroeconomic wise. The reading assignments were challenging but he didn't grade them too harsh, the quizzes were straight forward, and if you went to lecture the midterms were easy. I got 100% on both, and he grades attendance. Overall if you study and put the work in, not a hard A.

I didn't attend lecture, but I read the textbook which I found more helpful. Theres 2 midterms (MC) and a final (half MC half problem solving). some questions were small detailed questions that you had to pay attention to get but overall this was a fair class and I recommend taking it

I had to say ECON 135 covers too much materials that might explained why I felt this class so hard. His lectures not really helpful, and though I went to almost every class. Most people skipped his lectures. To keep students coming to class, he won't answer your questions though emails. Be prepared for this! Nice prof, but confusing principles.

Bohn is a very nice and forgiving professor. He offers hw that counts essentially as extra credit. I found the material interesting, but his lectures early in the morning were hard to listen to. I got a C- on the 2nd midterm and still got an A- in the class. Nice guy, and easy and interesting class overall

He is the perfect professor for the course, really knowledgeable about monetary policy. Exam & midterms are crystal clear, unlike other econ classes. There is no trick question. Highly recommended.
