Did not say he wanted us to memorize as much as we had to 4 the midterm so people did badly.I managed to remember alot of things on the fly and managed to get something like 84/100 but with the curve it bumped me to an A+. 10 page research paper was simple, I didn't even do any research. Final was easier than midterm. Lots of reading so be prep.

Horacio is a very funny gay guy, but sadly he was sick for half the quarter. Had many guest speakers and A LOT OF reading, plus 3 3-page reflection papers, 10 page research paper and final. His midterm (half MC) was horrible, since he never specified that he is picky about dates, names, statistics, etc. so he did a major curve. Helpful in officehrs

Don't take this class unless if you are white. You do not learn anything about culture. All he talks about is immigration and makes jokes in spanish which is just great SINCE I DONT SPEAK IT. He requires SO much reading, mideterm, 10 page research paper and final. But everyone failed the final so he curved it like CRAZY. Terrible class.

You gotta love him. He's very helpful. I sent him an e-mail with like 5 questions, right before the paper was due, and he answered all of them very well. Very passionate. Made me want to major in Chicano Studies. Some lectures were weird, but oh well.
