Notoriously hard grader. In person he's a fun, friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging guy. I had him as a TA on at least one occasion and enjoyed my time in his section. For once, it was a section that seemed useful to me. Be wary if you like to slack, though: an A is very elusive.
I had him as a TA and he was fun to llisten to in class. He did not really focus on what we covered in lecture but I didn't have a problem with that because I hate having info beaten into me even when I attend lecture and understand the material. He was a fair grader and an overall really nice guy. eye candy for the girls.
Great Professor. Very kind, loves discussion. Unfortunately, my class did not talk much, but the class was still very interesting. Great English 10 teacher, I would take his class again and recommend him to friends.
He was really laidback, kind of gave off a stoner vibe. Very philosophical, interesting ideas. Fair grader, kept class interesting.
extremely intelligent. he was as inspiring as he was nerdy (he made us watch groundhog day and convinced us that it was a brilliant movie). class, though it was 2 hours long, was always engaging and fascinating, as he always related it to life. a must.
TOO LAID BACK.HE USES WAY TOO MANY BIG WORDS. I STILL DON'T GOTS MY GRADE.
He's cool and laidback, almost too much so for my tastes, but he's a nice, intelligent guy who will help you out if you have problems (not give you answers, though, if that's what you're looking for). Doesn't really discuss lecture much; I think he'd rather vaguely discuss how the class relates to life. No problems of which to speak. Fair grader.
this guy is crazy. he is a hard grader, talks way over your head, has a different appearance each class, and has a big vocabulary.
He was really unclear about his grading scale for our midterm and ended up grading everyone much more harshly than any of the other TAs. We never learned anything - it was more like we sat around and talked.
