He is an excellent instructor. The only people that dislike him are the ones who make terrible work, and he probably let them know it. If you listen to his advice, you will improve; ignore it, and you're an idiot. Yes he can be blunt, but it's clearly what this program needs. Don't take his class if you're not a committed artist willing to change.

Dimitri is a great teacher. He does not tolerate lazy students but he will help those who work hard and knows what he is talking about. It is actually pretty entertaining watching him tear people apart in crits. He doesnt BS, very strait forward.

What a funny site! I didn't know you could do this. At Univ. of AZ now; one of the bright spots here. Oh, and I think he's hot :) don't tell the wife...

Dimitri rocks the boat. Always willing to talk to you about your work in and out of class and really knows all the techniques and whatnot. Will joke around with your around campus outside of class.

Hes a tough but good teacher. Knows what hes talking about. Appreciates hard work, and is very harsh on lazy people.
