I've heard good things about professor Falcon but was disappointed in how the class was carried out and ended up having to withdraw. The class wasn't intended to be online, but the accommodations she made does not help at all. Lack of support from their side. Tbh there are way better professors in UCSC, that understand true pedagogy.

Class is boring because of group presentations and some of her books are hard to fully comprehend. Personally, she is really friendly and positive. She isn't a hard grader and she genuinely cares about her students. DO NOT BE TARDY TO CLASS. She hates it. Also, she has an uncanny ability to memorize names, so she will know if you miss class.

great professor, she keeps the class interesting, it makes you want to learn and the topics she touches on and very inetresting as well. Lots of reading, but fun. Her exam are good, attendance is important so if you go to class and all the readings then the exams are no problem! I recommend her.

She assigned a lot of readings, some of which were really interesting. I thought she was a cool person. She seemed to like to hear other people's opinions. I just didn't understand why her lecture notes couldn't be posted online since they were all on a power point presentation and she talked so fast anyway. But the class was cool, not hard at all.

Without a doubt the worst prof that I have ever encountered..Lacks insight, depth, and any true teaching skills. The entire quarter comprised of her reading what was on the powerpoint, beyond which she had little knowledge. I've never been required to waste so much time in my life. Sadly her bad attitude doesn't improve the situation in the least..

I really like her class. The topics are interesting. There is a lot of reading and writing, but not too bad.

Instead of a lecture, she puts definitions on a power point and reads it aloud. She is very anal about attendence and tardiness. Most of all, she has an opinion about everything, and if your ideas do not mesh with hers, she dismisses them. Some things she presents in class are even false or exaggerated. She needs more practice as a professor.

I think my Redbull needed to drink a Redbull to stay awake.

Interesting. Readings BORING & long! Too much reading & writing. 2 to 4 pages per week. Weekly journals &/or movie reviews. Time consuming. Go to class, you learn what is actually important in readings, then class is easy. Better class than I thought it would be. Topics everyone could relate to or understand. Good conversations. She speaks quickly

Just finished her final. It was a challenge to keep up with the work this past summer session, but it makes the difference. Class covers all the bases... you'll actually get to learn so much from her & the material is applicable to life after college. Overall, I highly recommend her. (Seriously I'm a changed citizen).
