I had her at Santa Clara University in 2010. She is a strong teacher, and enjoyable to work with. Sometimes she gives quizzes that are too focused on the details. She is an easy grader for essays and tests.

Great balance between lecture and discussion. I learned to think about things in a completely new way.

I love Zia. I was so sad the day I found out she went into admin and stopped teaching. It is a shame.

She is really nice and this is an easy class. Two short-medium length papers, no midterm and a final. Quizzes after each book are easy, but quote ID's mean you have to read more than just sparknotes. She gives a long time for each play to be read before its tested on. Uses movies of the plays to help illustrate points. We read 6 plays.
