This professor was easy when I took CS 40. He made a big curve on the final. Problems on finals are very (and I mean very) similar to his homework problems.
The laziest guy in the department: he didn't show up for the midterm(it was rescheduled) then passed it back 2 weeks after we took it. Also, posted the grades exactly on the day before the deadline. It's time for him to retire.
His lectures are redundant, and his homeworks are very hard. He doesn't understand the question before he answers, but his tests are fairly simple. Go to office hours!
Very irritating in lecture and had no faith in his own ability to teach, often stopping during lecture to yell "UNDERSTAND!?" Just teach the damn material, we'll stop you if we get lost. This is a moot point, since he actually did little to teach theory. All he did was have us jump through hoops by drilling us with narrow, dumbed-down exercises.
Heavy accent but you get used to it after a lecture or two. His hw's are very hard but are curved and if you understand the answers to the hw the test should be very easy. I feel like he gave a generous curve becuase the class was so small and almost everyone attended and participated.
He is difficult to understand, but mostly he is very slow. After each sentence he stops and asks if everyone understands, and unless he gets a loud "YES!!!" from everyone in the classroom, he will repeat himself over and over again. He never seems to understand questions that students ask, so his answers don't really relate to the question asked.
His accent is fine if you pay attention - he is a really nice guy who lets his students ask billions of questions until they understand the concepts. He homeworks and tests were really easy.
Extremely difficult to understand in lecture. Thick accent makes class pointless. His lecture style is also very question oriented. He will say one small simple piece of info and then say, "It's easy right, you get it?" and not explain th
You won't understand his lecture because of his strong accent
