Has good lecture notes, must go to lecture to receive notes for that day. Went over most concepts well except for Thevenin/Norton equivalents. Get familiar with that on your own. Depending on which TA you have you can have a good or bad time in the class. Labs are long and hard (kekeke). Good professor, very nice, always answers questions well.
The class is curved in the end so only worry about doing better than the average. DO NOT DOUBLE DOWN unless your midterm score is significantly lower than the average. Many people who had average scores on the midterm and "got greedy" with their overall score got an unpleasant surprise following the final exam. I don't think anyone has gotten an F.
Nice guy, however...the workload for the class is VERY unreasonable. The labs are too long, the TAs are not helpful, some examples in class contained errors and the midterm contained material that wasn't covered very well. I have enjoyed every ME class up until this point. I was VERY disappointed with this class.
The handouts at the beginning of every class are very helpful. His lecture is crystal clear, easy to follow. If you go to all the lectures and do your homework, you'll be fine. If you are good at math, it's an easy class.
Extremely helpful and understanding. Good lectures and also posts notes online. Tough class but fairly graded. Tests reflected what was on the homework pretty well, though the hw was long and sometimes difficult. Highly recommended.
Great professor. Lecture notes are great, lectures are organized very well. Has a very likeable personality. Uses very americanized english with a mild korean accent. As a first time undergrad prof seems to posses none of the arrogance of other professors who despise undergrad teaching.
Helpful notes handed out every lecture. He is fair in grading and is very understanding and open to sugestions. Some homeworks were long, but helpful in understanding the material. I would recommend him.
