Cissy Ross is an incredible professor. She truly cares about her students and wants to see them grow and succeed as writers. I had the fortune to take her class before she retired and truly enjoyed her instruction and assignments. I learned a lot!

Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable professor. Two small papers for her class that help build up for the final feature. Let's you choose your topic of interest for the last two papers. She's willing to help those in class and at office hours. Take advantage as she's had invaluable experience in the profession. Your writing definitely improves!

Very easy class. She's extremely helpful and actually gives a lot of feedback on your writing. She tries her best to bump up your grade. It actually seems like she wants you to do well!

Writ 2 was such an interesting class! Dr. Ross is friendly, helpful, unique, and kept class interesting. She sincerely wants everyone to do well, and encourages office hour visits. I don't consider myself a savvy writer, but with interest/help from Dr. Ross I pulled off an A-. I would definitely recommend this professor.

This was by far my favorite class ever. She teaches on topics that interest the class and explains everything very well. She always is very helpful if you go into her office hours. Always willing to bump up your grade if you redo papers.

a little disorganized, but it never got in the way of her teachings. she reallly knows her stuff about journalism, has a lot of experience. she even teaches polished writers how to be better. Relatively high expectations, but fair. She breaks big projects up into small chunks so nothing's ever really that demanding.

Great professor. Although class was made easier because she took over for our original instructor who left halfway through the quarter, she was very helpful and gave assignments that were of interest to our class as a whole. When she gives feedback, make sure to include it in your final drafts, it'll help your grade a lot. Overall, easy class.

She rocks I haven’t known a teacher that well rounded. She may appear to be above it all at first, but then you realize that you were wrong and that she is keeping it real and making you do what will ultimately help you. Best teacher I’ve had, plus she’s a hot mamacita.

IF U ARE IN THIS CLASS GET OUT AS QUICK AS U CAN!!! she is a psycho on a power trip; does not care abt teaching/her students; gave me a D on my paper without even reading it; made us read a horrible book. the class is NOT worth it-find a better more quality teacher!
