Delila is a very sweet professor but didnt really help me improve my technique or advance. I think shed be a fine teacher if its your first time taking ballet, but unfortunately doesnt give frequent or notable corrections. I hate to give her such a low rating because shes a lovely person, but her ballet class just wasnt sufficient for me

Really helped me improve! Gives good corrections and presents all the material on the midterm ahead of time. Pay attention and you'll do great in her class.

Fantastic Professor. A little shy and old fashioned; put effort in and treat her with respect and she will provide positive feedback and help. Look her up: danced professionally all over including with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater! Well respected expert in dance. Also directs the UCSB dance company and runs a local ballet school! Recommend!

Sweet lady. However she shows up to class late, is scatterbrained, and can be out of line at times. If you're looking to improve your ballet take class from Val.

She is a terrible teacher. Also, I mentioned to her privately that I have a medical condition and later found out that she had told several other of my professors.

I was so excited to take Ballet again and I was unbelievably disappointed. She seems nice but she doesn't respond to emails and is usually not in her office (no office hours, schedule appt through email... See my problem?) . She doesn't motivate students to do better. I only ever did my best with the sub. Nice, but so unorganized. Not a fan.

I've taken other beginning ballet classes but I really liked the pace of this one. Each class build upon the other as the quarter goes on. The midterm and final are pretty easy, she gives you a terms sheet and won't test you on anything that isn't on there. This class is really helping me build my technique back up from ground zero.

I loved her class. She will correct you if you take her class a lot or if she knows your name. There's a midterm/final, but it's pretty easy because dancers should know the terms already! Though I wish she didn't test us on those. You can miss up to 4 classes! Because she sick absence counts as 1/2 of an absence.

she was a nice lady. She was sometimes late but the class went by really fast. she was fun and we did different stuff everyday. I loved that class a lot!
