SUCH a hard class. Requires knowing a ridiculous amount of information with little help. Waste of SO much time and effort. Going to the cadaver lab is the only good thing about this class.
She shouldn't be teaching.
class is a LOTTTT of work. quizzes every monday, the review sessions with the TA's are definatly helpful and you get extra credit for going. cadaver lab was AMAZING, tests are reli hard and require a LOT of memorization and studying but i can guarentee you will learn a LOT. you just have to invest a lot of time if you want anything above a low B.
Awful teacher.
Truly terrible at teaching. Not even a real professor but just a physical therapist. Expects you to know far too much detailed information on completely insignificant things. Tests were riculously long, hard, and unfair. Never take this class with. Besides having impossible expectations, class was excrutiatingly boring and unbearable. Avoid.
she's got to be the worst teacher at UCSB. she expects you to know tons of information and the TA's are NOT helpful at all because she doesn't tell them what's going to be on the quiz. her expectations are impossible to achieve and she gives you NO help with memorization tips. she totally turned me off from the ESS minor. don't take it...miserab
From reading the other comments she must have improved her teaching drastically! Class is hard but not if you put some time into it. You do not need to read the book everything is presented very clearly in the reader. She offers extra credit for attending reviews and the TA's often tell you exactly what will be on the quiz. good class
Very challenging class - frequent quizzes make you stay on top of things. The material is pretty straight-forward, but she adds extra interesting information that helps you remember the material as it applies practically. The cadaver lab was an experience.
good and smart
Horrible teacher, horrible class. Still made this the most boring class I have had so far. She has extremely unreasonable expectations for the tests. Doesn't have a clue how to teach, just recites facts with no method for helping you remember any of it. Unless you have a photographic memory, do not take this class.
This class is really super hard, and it's not her fault. She does give hard tests, but also lots of EC. It just requires a LOT of time, studying, and memorizing. She will help you out, but I got an A in the class cuz I put a lot of time into it.
Bad, she isn't a regular teacher, but a physical therapist. You get a coloring book for class and a whole lot of notes you need to print out. Useless memorization of body parts. It sucks that this class is required for many minors in the phys ed dept. If there was only another teacher available.....
