Nice person but doesnt teach concepts well. And grades ridiculously hard on assignments, aka one mistake gets you a letter grade lower

Annie yih is one of the worst professors I have ever had. She spends all lecture attempting to answer questions but only confuses everyone further. The grading is absolutely terrible (either 1,2, or 3/3 on hwk). She chastises and patronizes students for not having been introduced to concepts in earlier 5 series classes, one which she taught.

She's really nice and motherly and wants everyone to do well. Often I understood concepts quickly, but she would keep explaining for others and I would have to stop listening because her explanations would get more and more confusing. She always wants you to bring the textbook to class...

Lectures aren't that good. You'll learn a ton of stuff about theory but almost none of it will be on any of the exams. All you have to do is learn a few basic concepts from the TA's, who are amazing, and you'll get an A. Professor Yih is really nice and wants everyone to do well.

She is a little whacky, and you might not like her at first, but she really does want her students to do well and understand. She says some pretty random funny things sometimes and lecture can be alittle boring, but overall she is a good lady and means well. Really, use her as a resource, and you will do well if she things ur trying hard

I love Yih! Her handouts are so helpful. She wants you to succed! Go to her office hours for questions. You wont regret it!
