One of the best professors in the Bio andor Chem department! He teaches you all the information in an easy, summarized way AND gives them to you via powerpoint slides (so you hardly need the book). His test are extremely fair, no tricks and no surprises (take a look at his old exams). You are lucky if can get him as a professor!

Best professor ever. I would recommend taking this teacher for all chem/biochem upper division.

he is extremely smart but is not a hard teacher at all! just read the prior tests and you'll be FINE! super easy class.

Parsons is a silly man. he doesn't have the most interesting lectures, but he puts all his slides online so class attendance isn't mandatory. just make sure you do all the hw and know his slides very well. plus know his old tests. DONT read all the chapters, this will waste your time. also he is very helpful if u go to office hours.

Parsons is a boring teacher I have to say. His tests are fair though. he goes strictly by the book. He doesnt try and trick you on the midterms. His practice midterms are just like the real ones. If you read the book and do a lot of memorizing structures you will do well.

easy, nice professor, its just that lectures are totally unnecessary...

I didnt go to over 50% of the lectures and I didn't feel like I missed out on anything important. He goes exactly - and I mean exactly by the book. If you read the book and stay home you will probably actually do better in this class. The tests were fairly easy (multiple choice+few short answer+T/F)

As mentioned earlier, VERY boring. Don't bother going to review sessions because he goes off on tangents even more than in class. His tests are mainly multiple choice and true/false. If you look hard enough, you'll find previous tests in which he just recycles most of the multiple choice questions.

As others have said, he's very boring. I feel bad because I think he tries to be interesting by going off on tangents sometimes (another complaint), but his voice is very dull. Anyway, his tests are fair and his powerpoints usefull, so it's not a big deal.

The most boring teacher EVER! He will put you into sleep (or almost).

He can not clarify complex ideas well.

The worst lectures EVER, will really put you to sleep. I gain NOTHING out of the lectures. When you ask him a question, he goes of the 'road' and takes forever until he finally answers.
