I took his Intro to Academic Writing. He taught me to pursue individual expression, authentic voice, and creative synthesis. He made two papers that rang my bell. He asked students to write about a scenario on love, and another on our personal story. Both developed my appreciation for writing as a fine art and mode of independent thought.

the summer before i went to college, a lot of people told me that the most exciting part of college is the one class you take that completely changes the way you think. scott's class was that class for me. besides, he's so handsome, and after talking to him 3 times a week for 4 months, he is officially my life-long crush...o, i so miss him...

I never eaven worried about my grade and I got an A with expending too much effort. Don't get me wrong, I had to do the assignments and I tried very hard on them, but they seemed easy and useful at the same time. Good class for ANYONE to take because business writing will translate to any facet of life. Enjoy!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. He always walks into class with a smile that sets the tone for the whole class. Keeps issues and ideas interesting. Too bad he's going to standford now, he was a great asset to the university. I will never forget the way he had me look at things in different angels in a different light, he's a master in what he does. The Man.

Scott breaks the traditional convention of teaching writing class.After taking his class, I become to like writing more than before. "Write with your blood" is what I remember the best from his words.He's rather an artist than a teacher.
