Expectations were that this would be very interesting but it was very very boring and at 8 am. Very difficult to get up for. Material is more like a history class with a few connections to economic models. Just study the midterms, finals, and practice questions to ace the tests. You don't need to read other than the PPs. I got an A in the class

I never went to lectures, professors basically just read from the slides and talked about useless data and graphs. buy ONLY THE NOTES reader. practice tests online help, very similar to the actual ones, use a lot of same M.C questions. just study a week in advance for each test u should do fine, lots of info covered though so not a piece of cake

AVOID THIS CLASS! About 1/3 of the class comes to the lectures which are waaaay to early to listen to these guys talk about crime and justice material that dates back to the 60's. The Final was NOT easy at all. If you are going to take this class ONLY BUY THE NOTES reader. The other two are useless.

there are 2 teachers phillips and votey, class is really boring,go just b4 the midterm and final to see what u need to memorize, just do the practice midterm and final at the end of teh notes and that's pretty much it, 1 midtermand a final, A on the final= A in the class...not too much work, dont buy the textbook, just get the notes.

Professor Phillips is very passionate about his material. If you go to his office hours and talk to him he will clarify anything. Great material, class is somewhat boring, class is not very easy, takes some memorization, just study old midterms, final exams...

Decent and fairly easy class, but 8:00 A.M. is too early to take the class. Phillips can put you back to sleep if your not a morning person.

Horrible class, so much material is covered, you dont know which is more important than the other. Way too boring to go to class, they make the information seem uninteresting, NOT AN EASY CLASS. Dont take it, it sucks, just two old geezers blabbing on about econ of crime and justice.

One of my favorite professors ever! Llad Phillips is truly a helpful professor that cares about what he teaches and wants to help one understand the material. Always in office hours, take a class from him and you will not be disapointed!

Class itself is easy, just a midterm and final. He's nice enough to put stuff online. Lectures are boring though, despite the interesting material. But he's still a great and really nice guy.

Very interesting material but very boring lectures. No discussion or anything like that. You just sit there and fall in sleep. But very easy class!

Good overview and you will learn alot and get a good grade if you do a nice paper

Material is somewhat interesting. Really nice guy, but lectures are a BORE! No need to take notes cuz he gives you a reader that has all the notes you need. Review powerpoint slides before the test! Textbook is useless; don't buy! One midterm & final.
