As I sit and watch professor Romeo's last lecture that he will ever teach at UCSB, I honestly had hoped he would be here for one more year. Professor Romeo is going to be my all time favorite professor. He is so chill, and treats you like a friend and not a student. Hope he has a great retirement and has fun with his new grandchild. See ya prof.

I have had romeo for all of my sports classes, and Romeo and I have a pretty good relationship. Although its his last quarter, he's probably one of the best teachers you could've had at UCSB. Chill teacher that just wants to see you try, and everything else falls into place. Thanks for the sports classes romeo.

Classes are always interesting if you like sports and want a career in it. He can talk a lot and ramble at times but all you need to do is memorize powerpoints and you will do fine on quizzes! (he drops lowest score too!) really great class and I've taken every class he teaches with at least a B+ grade.

He is such a nice guy! He's passionate about the subject. He genuinely cares about his students and is easy to ask questions to.The material can get pretty boring if you've been introduced to it already but he's a great guy to take the class with. The book isn't needed.Just follow his powerpoints and go to the review sessions, you'll be good to go.

Structured as stated in the comments below. Almost no work required. Quizzes are simple memorization from lecture slides. Tests are a little tricky, but the class is graded on an extremely generous curve. The quiz reviews are really helpful too. Easy if you want a B, a little bit of effort for an A

Romeo is really nice but the class is hard. There is one midterm, one final, 3 quizzes, and a presentation on an article. The tests are extremely difficult and it isn't necessary to read the textbooks but make sure you read the slides and articles he posts. His 130 class is a lot easier.

Great guy. Class setup is stated below. Study hard for the quizzes (directly from notes). They end up being worth the same amount as the MT and Final (30%) but are easier. Exams are MC but tricky. Mostly from the notes but do the reading if you want an A. Class is curved. Exams are detailed. Personally, harder than ESS 132/140. B- on MT; A in class

Interesting material, great guy, but the lectures are hard to follow. Slides are online but he jumps around and doesn't seem to explain the concepts very well. Tests are difficult (says they aren't detail oriented when they are) altho the whole class is curved. Lots of reading/memorizing. 1 midterm, 1 final, 4 quizzes and 1 presentation

Good teacher: patient, engages class in discussion, does not expect an obscene amount from students. 1 midterm and 1 final, 4 quizzes, 1 oral presentation on an article. Attendance not mandatory, lectures put online, tests come 95% from lecture slides and 5% from articles. READ AND KNOW EVERY WORD FROM THE SLIDES.

I thought the class was going to be difficult but it was not that bad. Quizzes aren't too tough and there are 3 exams and they are difficult but he curves it. i studied the slides and got an A.

Excellent class with a ton of great stuff to learn about, its all very applicable. Its difficult though, with hard quizzes almost every class that you need to study for to do well on. Make sure to talk to him during office hours if you have questions because he's really helpful. Anyone interested in this subject will love the class.
