Extremely knowledgeable and good lecturer.

Loved it! Class material is interesting. 2 assignments worth 15% each, then midterm 30% and final 40%. Everything is in the powerpoints, from which you'll pull everything from for the study guide. She explains very clearly, and nothing will be on the test that's not on the study guide. Easy to get a good grade if you just pay attention.

Super easy, but a lot to learn for the midterm and final (study guides ended up 20 pages long for each). But it's ALL THERE IN THE NOTES. She teaches you EVERYTHING you need to know and goes over all of the readings in detail. You will learn A LOT in this class and she is SO FUNNY! She is incredibly interesting, motivating, and hilarious. Take her.

Pat is a great teacher. She is very interested in the subject which is nice. The paper is intense, but you can pick what you write about so if you hate it, it's your fault. Don't need to read for her class- she always explains in detail what the readings were about and she gives you midterm and final review sheets. Sweet lady

The content of the class was interesting, and she explains things well and has an obvious interest in the subject matter. She tends to attach too much importance to terminology and names of researchers, though. Also, she has no idea what is an appropriate amount of time to to allow for a project. She's worth taking, but be on your guard.

prof. clancy is a good teacher. she explains the readings in detail in lecture and is available outside of class. the project paper is hard but worth doing cause it's so interesting. just make sure you meet with her alot to get help on the paper. i'm taking her again for ling 138 cause she's so grea

Very nice teacher with a deep interest in the subject. She explains things clearly and answers students' questions tooughtfully. Somehow she isn't a particularly magnetic personality, but she is a very good teacher.
