He doesn't care about teaching; No office hours. It's the quarantine, he just posts 20 minutes total of pre-recorded lectures of him clicking poor-quality ppt. Labs & lectures are basically a total tangent or lectures are always behind & unrelated to lab. The 2 Hrs lecture per week never happened. You can only learn so much reading on ur own.

The labs took a long time to complete and the midterm/final written exam were a train wreck. We were too busy doing our labs in order to learn all of the theoretical stuff we were taught in lecture. This class should be split into two. Not really El-Soussi's fault, he's a good guy and does try his best. I don't think he actually failed anyone.

Very clear and helpful teacher. He took an engineering outlook on teaching us the material, but still provided proofs when asked. Very fair and helpful. He was present for office hours before every class. The class is easy, but extremely time consuming (lab requirement eats 15+ hours a week).

Excellent prof.!!! Super nice and helpful, he put everything online even extra practice problems! So approachable, and his T.A.s are very helpful as well. At the end of the quarter the whole class was cheering because we convinced him to teach 6c.

Great professor! Physics alone is a hard subject to teach, but he did a good job of it. Lecture is definitely mandatory for helpful hints on hw and midterms, and bring your iclicker for extra credit points! Midterms are very fair and he tells you what to study! Good sense of humor too!

Easy class and good professor. Accent and teaching style take getting used to (a day or two) but he is a good professor and genuinely wants to help people succeed. If you read and understand the examples in the book as well as the HW, you are good to go. Class attendance is optional, but you can earn 5% EC thru iClicker. Curve is crazy, 80% is A-.

i dont know why hes getting such a poor rating, but i just had him this quarter and he was awesome! he really wants everyone to do well and he will help you out when you go to his office. you do need to come to class to get the extra credit but if you dont care about the 5% you dont need to come to class because all his lectures are on gauchospace.

By FAR the worst teacher that i have EVER had. He would get confused trying to teach, and his students had to correct his mistakes all the time. He didn't even seem like he knew what he was doing, and yet he was still cocky about it!

He's a nice guy and all but he should not be teaching the class. He consistantly made mistakes while working problems on the board and stalled out whenever a student asked him a question in class.

Very nice guy who is not fit to teach upper division classes. Does not lecture with much sophistication and seems to favor "turn the crank" modes rather than providing a global framework to solve and understand hard problems. This class is essential to EE and the quick pace of summer coupled with his lack of completeness will kill you later on.
