Just going to lecture taught me so much. He's very thorough, very organized, always prepared, and I got an A on his midterm without knowing any of the dates. If you have to take an art class take it with him! You'll be prepared and hopefully think some of it is interesting!
Great professor, great class, very straightforward. I learned a lot and the exams were fair.
This was a very interesting class. I disagree with most of the comments below. I didnt do any of the reading. All I did was memorize the slides and attend lecture, and I got an A. The midterm consisted of some vocab, slide IDs, and a few com/cont essays. All he does in lecture is talk about the images that are on the screen, and thats really helpfu
He's bald and always wears the same sweater, also he's terrible at the lecture material. About half the time, talks about the wrong piece of art with the wrong slide, gets dates wrong and gives us bad notes. you need to actually do all the reading to know the real information about each painting.
This class requires a lot of work. You have to memorize a TON of slides for the midterm&final. His slide list is really hard to find the images&sometimes he doesnt have all the ones he talked about. The class is based WAY too much on religion, the teacher from the year before was extremely easier(I have heard). He is not a bad teacher, the class just sux
Prof. Meadow is a pretty decent lecturer, altho he can be dry at times. The class has been pretty easy thus far, just go to lecture and memorize slides for the exams. I took 6A & C last quarter and trust me, 6B could be a lot worse. The worst thing so far is tolerating idiot freshman in the class that think they can talk the entire lecture...
Prof. Meadow is the best.. we only had a midterm and a final and an extra credit project, all were very clear and fair, you could even say easy. the class actually ended up being very interesting and i learned a lot

i enjoyed this class - just form your own opinions on the artworks and keep up on the reader -- memorization factor decent compared to other art history classes
A little boring, but definitely interesting in some parts and well explained. Tests are fair and he is a great teacher!
