His handwritten notes are very hard to read and unclear, making it difficult to keep up with the class. Also, his exams cover very tricky topics, many of which were not explained in detail during lectures, and some were even never mentioned at all. If you're hoping to achieve a high GPA (4.0)in this course, I would not recommend this professor.
A class that was made more difficult than it should have been. Not impossibly hard just not a class I enjoyed attending.
Definitely the worst math professor I have ever taken. He could not explain the concepts and just read through the notes from another professor. The practice are similar to exams, but exams are way harder, and he had never explained in the lectures how to solve these problems. Wasn't able to finish half of the midterm in the time limit.
The exams were insanely difficult. They were similar to the practice midterm, except 10x harder. Prof absolutely cannot teach nor answer any questions, so definitely sign up for CLAS bc the tutor literally saved me. The curve was good, but it was applied in the final grade on GOLD, so you couldn't check if you were on track to pass, kinda risky
Nonono, grades curved down.
This was his first quarter teaching and keeping that in mind, he was good. He skipped steps a lot but always answered questions and uploaded notes. His accent was hard to understand initially but not impossible, so it wasn't a problem. The practice tests are fair and he's helpful in office hours. If you put in the work, you'll do well.
Good lectures. Has a little bit of an accent but is very understandable. Hw is fair and takes as long as it should for math8. Tests/quizzes had a few too many questions to be able to answer in time but professor will curve grade and change tests off feedback. Overall fair professor would recommend
Pros: He gave partial credit during the test. The practice is similar to the midterms/final. One assignment per week. Notes are uploaded on a canvas. Cons: He has an accent. The lectures are not very detailed. Two midterms. He doesn't curve grades. I rarely go to class. I feel like it's a little easier to study on my own.
He seems like a sweet and caring person, but skips steps in work during problems, leading students to spend class time trying to understand the leaps he made in his work instead of understanding the actual concept. This was his first term teaching though. Practice quizzes very similar to actual tests though and homework load very reasonable.
Lectures aren't the best, but lecture notes are posted on Canvas. Homework is reasonable, and the professor is always available via email. The practice midterm/final is extremely similar to the actual exam, and he is lenient with partial credit.
Very good professor who never overcomplicates lectures, hw or exams. He gives good explanations during his lectures and tries to make sure that everyone is keeping up and understanding. He gives partial credit and is not a tough grader by any means. I would definitely take this class again
Being one of his first classes he has done an amazing job teaching the material during lectures. Though his accent is confusing sometimes, he is easily accessible during office hours and genuinely wants you to do well. Homework and practice tests are a must, attending office hours helps a lot too. He is very knowledgeable in math as a whole
Even though it's his first class as a professor, he is doing great. The lectures are not overwhelming and he gives practice mid term exams which help a lot for the test. attendance is not mandatory however Homework problems are related to the content taught in the classroom so attending the lectures are highly recommended.
