Honestly, it's a tough class but I thought she was a good teacher with a good sense of humor.

All I have to say is if you can take this class with a different professor please do by far the worse professor I've had here at UCSB.

There is no way people are giving this women a good rating. I feel bad for everybody who had to go through all of that, honestly thinking about switching my major because she made me dread the class. Also one more thing to add DON'T EVER SHOW UP TO AN EXAM LATE, I saw her screaming at a dude who tried to sneak in which was funny but scary.

Where do I even start her slides aren't even helpful she should really highlight what is important because I feel like I'm reading a bunch of useless slides that don't even help for the exams. Two PQ's didn't really help surprisingly. Three TA's don't even know what they're doing and I don't even blame them. Her outfits are good though.

Beware of this professor she breezes through her slides and it's so annoying you basically have to teach yourself. None of the PQ's actually helped with the final exam in my opinion it was a bunch of complex problems. What irked me the most was when she said she took the exams that we had to do and she found them "easy".

OMG PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH MISS ALISA, Jesus Christ she needs to get her slideshows together it's a BUNCH of information crammed into one slide. I like how she says "we don't have to memorize anything" but that's the complete opposite. You do have to teach yourself for this course so beware. Her BOB and her outfits are fye though!!!

Was honestly a very confusing class. Have to teach yourself most of the material, not even TA's are very helpful as they do not know the material themselves. If you study hard you can do well but large percentage of grade is from tests

Class is graded by weekly online quizzes (can take as many times as possible) and 4 in-person tests. The lowest quiz and test is dropped, so I ended up not having to take the final. She goes through material very fast in lecture but if you look over the slides on your own time and put in the work, this class is an easy A.

This class was very easy. If you study and practice you will do well on every exam. Her lectures are interesting and entertaining and she explains the material fairly well.

this mf does not care at all abt her job. she breezes thru content, randomly decides to leave stuff to next class, and kicks mfs out if they're a minute late to exams. exams aren't hard and lowest grades gets dropped.

Lecture and section were never mandatory, and I liked how accessible all the TAs always were during office hours/with discussion posts. If you pay attention in lecture and don't study last-minute, you will do well. The weekly quizzes were reasonable and had unlimited attempts. Lowest exam score/quizzes are dropped too, so there is leniency.

Everything is very clear as to what assignments and stuff is needed. 4 tests all weighted the same, they'll pretty much be your whole grade. 6 projects and weekly practice questions. all very manageable. as a professor she isn't very memorable, but seems nice enough and knows what shes talking about. basic course, not an easy A but manageable.

By far the worst quality class I have taken at UCSB, the material honestly seems like it would be quite easy to learn if we had some decent instruction, but we don't. The Excel projects are confusing as there is typically a huge lack of instruction on the material provided. . MUST ATTEND OFFICE HOURS to be confident in any of the material. ITS BAD!

I took AP Micro in High School, and maybe its just that I had a really good teacher, but listening to this woman lecture, I felt like I was losing knowledge. Do anything but listen to her. She is rude, confusing, and overall just unpleasant. Feel mean writing this but I just feel bad for all of us who had to go through that.

Very hard to understand during lectures and was easily irked. 3 midterms, so be ready for quick turnarounds on the chapters. Midterm difficulty increases after the first one too.

Office hours are necessary if you want to pass the weekly Excel projects because there is no guidance from the professor. The textbook is required for half the graded assignments. Overall, the professor didn't seem to care much about whether the students were learning or not, and I would recommend you find another econ Professor if possible.

She is a good lecturer, good intro class teacher. Fair grading, 3 midterms and a final.

She drops your lowest score for the excel projects, midterm, and section participation. I was not too fond of the fact she made us buy Macmillan learning when there are other free alternatives. Her in-class slides are just a copy and paste from the book. Overall you should be able to get an Easy A if you put in the work.

The grading rubric was very easy. There were three midterms and one got dropped. There are weekly excel projects that are usually easy. Her lectures were boring and I learned everything by reading the textbooks and not from her lectures. The only thing that made the class good was her easy grading criteria.

I personally thought her lectures were easy to understand although her explanations of the graphs can be confusing so go over them urself after lecture. The content of the class is easy and the tests are actually pretty straightforward. The Prof always shows up to class with mad fits every time which is p cool. Don't show up to the exam late. EVER.

Decent prof, nothing special but not bad, pretty understandable content, slides are always online so you can just go over them at home instead of going to lecture. Tests were pretty easy, grade includes some HW assignments and stuff so there's more than just the exams going towards your final grade. TA's and section did suck though

Doesn't prepare for lectures and often skips slides or she speeds through them really quickly. though the material isnt hard, test/section questions can be confusing and hard to answer. Her class single handedly convinced me to not pursue econ lol Edit: also she likes making learning difficult. she refuses to give out review questions from class??

Assignments, material, and syllabus are clear and easy to understand. The lectures were not helpful and were pulled directly from the textbook- it's fine to skip them. My one annoyance is you can only miss 11~ questions in exams + final cumulatively (except one dropped exam) to get an A :'( but the questions are easy, dw!! easy to get a b or higher
