I ended up really liking Bob. knew nothing about audit going in, but put in a decent/usual amount of work and got an A. He actually made me more interested in audit and I enjoyed his personal stories. The only thing I did poorly on was the simulation assignment, I didn't really feel like there was clear instruction on how to do it. maybe the point

This guy is a decent professor but at the end of the day hes not coming through for the student when you most need him. He lacks integrity and compassion and for those reasons Im out.

Bob is blunt, which some people take as being rude. He is hilarious and asks a lot of rhetorical questions that lead into funny stories about his experience in public accounting and his own business. Do the practice midterms, he reuses questions on his exams. Literally just memorize the slides and this class is a breeze.

Just memorize everything and do the practice exams. The class really isnt that hard. The hmwk and simulation can be found on google. If youre actually invested in the class I think A/A- is very doable. I just think the teacher isnt my cup of tea.

Typical UC bureaucrat who gets a paycheck while not teaching students anything they couldn't learn on their own. Bob creates more work than necessary for the subject matter due to lack of clarity and the amount prep time it takes to study and pass his exams. My suggestion is to avoid him (if possible).

Guest lecturer who refers to himself as a professor. Lots of homework and tests that seem to try and trip people up instead of teach them something. He says he runs training program and thats hard to believe based on his lack of teaching skills.

Course content doesn't always coincide with the text and discrepancies are common between material and slides. This can cause initial confusion with respect to knowing where to find correct answers. Always follow slides. He lacks proficient ability to provide clear instructions with respect to assignments and students are often confused.

Bob is one of the best accounting professors in the department. His lecture is engaging and thoughtful. Yes, he's tough and strict but that's his way of preparing you for the real world! Awesome class overall.

He's a funny guy so the lectures won't bore you to death. However, the information presented is disorganized and the textbook (which sucks to read) doesn't complement the lectures at all. He doesn't prepare you for assignments and doesn't hand your work back so good luck figuring out why your grade is what it is. Thumbs down.

His homework policy is stringent. I tried to turn in typed homework at the end of class because I walked in late, he denied my homework, which, after he told me about the "first 5 minutes of class" policy on his syllabus, made total sense. However, he rudely and unprofessionally turned his back and walked out while I explained I was there at 8:05.

I really enjoyed going to Bobs class, aside from the fact that it's 8am. He tells great stories and is clear. Lecture isn't mandatory but Id recommend it because his slides online are pretty dry and it's smart to take notes on what he's saying about them. Intense memorization for this class, no real accounting. You learn about auditing but not fun

Has the worst OH of any prof here (not just the fact its at 7am) opposes helping you study material b/f covered in class, doesn't want to help you with homework, what are OH for then? Apparently only for people in accounting projects who are not enrolled in his class..

Cllear warning. Do not take his auditing class. The competition is strong, and this teacher makes it cut-throat. He's always talking/lieing about his boring life/family. His grading is brutal, and he is convinced somehow it is fair. The teacher thinks he is something, yet doesn't even have a master's degree. STAY AWAY Take loster or don't take class

He's a mess. Goes off on tangents for the whole class and teaches you nothing that you need to know. He's a nice class but not a great teacher. Too bad I have to take him again.

He's a decent professor but those quizzes and midterm so far seem unnecessarily difficult and confusing.

An intro accounting is not an easy class to teach, but Bob helped me learn so much! I walked in with no accounting knowledge and now feel knowledgeable in the fundamental accounting topics! Sharing his experiences helped me understand what working in accounting is like, and I'm grateful for that. Put in the work, and you will appreciate the class!

Very time consuming class, but if you put the work in, you will succeed! Watch ALL lecture videos and go to in person lectures. A lot of test questions are stuff he says in both of these. The TA's were very helpful whenever I was confused on a topic. This is a class you can't cram for, so don't wait till the last minute to start studying.

Paid tuition to hear him yap 9.30 in the morning. Tests questions (MCQ specifically) have no ways to prepare. If he can lecture more instead of sharing his insights/thoughts in class it would be better. I do like his recording lectures as it prepares students for other accounting courses down the road. He goes off tangent when answering questions.

I LOVE BOB! One of my favorite professors. He made this class very understandable and if you go to lectures and try you will be fine. The final is pretty difficult but I prepared really well for it so I did good.

This class put me in therapy (wish I was joking). The professor's teaching is good once you get to know the way he teaches and explains, but I wouldn't rely on it you should do outside studying. I found that because GAAP accounting rules are solid it is easy to find good videos explaining what is going on in class if you are lost. USE WILEY!!!

Singlehandedly turned me off accounting. Way too difficult for an introductory level course. In my opinion much more difficult than ECON 10A for pre-majors because of how ill-prepared you are for exams. Might as well give you a coloring book in place of study guide for the final.

While lectures aren't required, they're heavily encouraged. I personally loved Professor Anderson, even though he can come off as a bit mean. He's a great teacher and wants his students to succeed. Just remember to stay on top of Wiley and actually read and watch the online lectures.

This was a horrible experience. His ego has no match. He is not understanding at all and will do all he can to fail you.
