I loved this professor. He was very nice and accommodating and he made the content of the class very interesting. His lectures were boring but he posted videos/slides of them online (watch at 1.5x speed). His credentials are impressive and he's very passionate. Easy class overall, but the research paper is a lot of work.

Lecture was not mandatory to attend with everything online right now and is generous with grading/curves. We had 3 papers to do based on readings. It was also allowed to miss a quiz or an essay and replace it with the lowest score you had. Class is lecture heavy but he always posted it to go back and watch.

I would not take this professor again, even if you paid me. Quiz questions are really detailed when relating to the long and multiple readings he assigns each week. Gives long study guides late considering when the exam/quiz is and expects students to know so much in a short time. Truly my hardest class as a straight A student.

There is a lot of reading, lectures are slightly boring, however, he is an awesome teacher. He ask for the classes interest and will change lecture to accommodate students interest. He will add a curve if class doesn't do well. He also gets rid of lowest score on test or paper.

Loved this class and the Professor, really nice guy. Sounds like Gru from Despicable Me and it was a great addition to the lectures! Reading heavy, but the essays are not too bad and neither is the final as he gives you the questions ahead of time and selects 5 of them randomly.

This dude is the epitome of boring. The material should have made this course mega-interesting, but his voice and graph-heavy lecture slides really just hurt my face trying to keep my eyes open. Even when he's delivering very consequential, important information, I couldn't be bothered. That being said. I did learn some neat stuff and <3 the earth.

I've had this professor twice now, and he is super knowledgeable. Lectures can be a bit dry but he means well. Super accessible outside of class and just wants to help. Gives clear guidelines as to his tests and essays.

even if you are not into environmental sociology, i recommend this class. You learn quite a bit of important material and the class is fairly easy. Three short papers (2-3 pages) 2 quizzes and a final. He gives you a study guide for every single quiz and the final so you know exactly what is going to be on it. Hes extremely nice too!

His lectures are very easy to follow, posts slides up on GauchoSpace, and has extremely clear grading criteria. Has 2 quizzes and 3 short papers and a final. He gives you all the answers for the quizzes and really wants his students to do well. He's a very inspirational guy and has done a lot in his life...I would take him again and again.

He is super nice and willing to help you out. Super easy in my opinion, i would totally take a different class with him. Attendance is not mandatory which is great! Also he did not make us buy any books which was financially very helpful.. since other teachers make u buy so many books. All notes are online along with the readings

Can anyone say "BORING" !? Only some teachers can make content-rich courses seem irrelevant. I love the issues and articles we cover, but the lecture is painfully boring and it seems that he has no emotional intelligence. Teachers are supposed to "react" to the non-verbal feedback that students are giving off. Think outside of the box MR.
