Ikeuchi is very nice and a great lecturer. She makes the content of the course extra interesting and her outfits always eat. Only issue is the test format is sort of difficult but Ikeuchi and Xu gave extra credit and redemption opportunities. Also there are assigned readings which are alright. I recommend taking Ikeuchi's classes shes a great prof!

THIS IS FOR JAPAN153! Professor Ikeuchi is sooo kind and truly cares about teaching, the subject, and her students. On the last day she even brought snacks! Very interdisciplinary course that combines history, econ, gender studies, and sociology. I genuinely loved the movies we watched. There's no midterm but there's a final project and exam.

Very proof heavy lectures but exams were quite easy and very straightforward.

Cannot lecture on material at all, dont even bother going to classes, his practice midterms are very similar to the actual ones and the homework is 40% of the grade so its super easy to get an A, but expect to learn all the material by yourself

Easy class to get an A, Hard A+ kind of class, 40% free homework, midterms and assuming also final similar to practice exams. However, the actual quality of the class is very low, the professor pretty much drones in front of slides, and you should expect to learn the content yourself.

the prof is hard to understand, and he just reads of his slides and rarely explains anything. Very few example problems are given in class. Lecture is not mandatory and is not useful so don't go. His midterms are very similar to the practice test, not sure yet about the final. Pretty easy A but you will have to teach yourself most of the material.

I am currently in Math 4B, and it is definitely an easy A. Grade is 40% homework which is basically an automatic 100%. 2 15% midterms and a 30% final that are super similar to the practice exams. His only flaw is that his lectures are very hard to understand due to his accent and his slides aren't super helpful. Go to CLAS and you'll be fine!

Professor was funny, interesting, and clear. Very interesting/fun class and easy to get a good grade (despite what the grading scale may seem) AS LONG AS YOU DO THE ASSIGNED READING. Make sure to allocate enough time to read, they can be long/dense. She goes over the reading/overall ideas in class, so it's best to attend.

Currently taking 4B. Midterms were very similar to the practice midterms given. One thing I will say is I didn't understand his lectures, so I just went to CLAS, and it helped tremendously. Not too, bad, exams were pretty easy I have a 90 in the class currently. 85% is an A- in this class. I have the final tomorrow so wish me luck! :)

Don't do it. I have him for Math 3B and exams are extremely off from practice and he is difficult to understand and takes a long time explaining things that dont need to be explained for that long.
