He explains the concepts really well, lots of examples during lecture. Homework is harder than the exam which was super nice. Final was pretty difficult but it was curved generously. I definitely recommend!

The most accomodating class I took in the Fall quarter. Generous curve. Half of the class gets an A+.

The course is easy overall. He explains concepts very clearly, gives lots of examples to help you with understanding. Homeworks are a bit tough, but manageable. Exams are easier and very fair. Would definitely recommend.

Spends lectures mostly doing examples. Exams were easier than the homework. Reasonable workload, just don't bug him for extensions or he will get a little passive-aggressive. Would take again.

Professor Salem delivers really helpful lectures that ease students into the ECE subject. His homework is way more difficult than the tests, but that is as intended. There definitely is a learning curve to this class, so be prepared to put in a lot of work early on. However, putting in the work will set you up for the rest of the 10 series.
