Professor Campagnari is brilliant but relaxed in his teaching and very approachable. I went to around 75% of his lectures, read the book, and did the hw and there were no surprises on his exams or final. He's also really reasonable with grading and curves. Wish I had him for 6B.
Overall good Professor, makes problems more complicated then they are sometimes but is very good at explaining basic concepts. Tests and exams are challenging but his curve is more than generous! 75-90% is an A in the class.
This is a very difficult class, but Campagnari was good at breaking down information during lecture. You definitely have to rely on the book to do well though.
Made information way more complicated than necessary.
Class is hard but grades on a curve..got an easy B without trying most of the class got B's so just read the book and study for tests.
Not easy. The final had about 50 multiple choice questions that were not straightforward. Stressed by the second half. His teachings do not help, 1/2 the class didn't go. If you want to get a good grade, definitely read. Homework doesn't really help either.
decent lecturer. the tests are multiple choice but they are still somewhat challenging. he is honestly interested in making sure that students are learning and cares about how they do. id you go to him early in the quarter he will gladly take feedback on lectures and try to improve them according to students needs.
Campagnari is a decent teacher, but reading the book is definitely required for a complete understanding. His midterm and final are both multiple choice and VERY concept-oriented. You will not have to do a lot of calculation and such to get these exams. The guy can get frustrated/frustrating at times, but sometimes he's funny.
He was one of the better Physics teachers i had. Mechanics is as boring as it gets but he managed to keep me awake. Not too hard of a class if you do your hmwk. I didn't do mine and got a B. If i did do it an A would have been easy to get.
Very clear in lecture, easy midterm, but the final is more difficult. No homework.
His tests are long, part mutiple choice with two written problems. He drops one of your lowest Quiz scores. The book blows. You're better off with the book they use to use University Physics Young & Freedman, that book goes all the way up to the beginning of physics 5 so if you're an engineering mayor check it out. CLAS with VINCE.
dude that podium thing was awesome. I also remember when that guy was spinning on the stool and pulled the free weights closer to himself to lower his moment of inertia and almost fell over because his rotational velocity became so high. good stuff.
I thought he was better than average... he is not as boring as some other teachers i know and his demonstations are realy cool sometimes...what about when he sent that girl flying into the podium on the wagon eh? ya the quizzes suck but his curve is more than generous.
ehhhhh he was ok. Im not really into physics so I thought I was gonna die in every boring lecture. He has weekly quizzes though too, which I didn't like, I thought they were sometimes a little difficult. The midterm I thought was really easy but the final was quite challenging but the curve helped out so an A is possible even with the confusion.
Physics is a conceptual class, if you get it, you get it, and if you dont, you dont. Therefore, he is described by people who dont get physics as "hard" and those who get physics as "easy". So if you're an average student, put in the extra effort and you'll get an A. the curve was rediculous. anything above a 75% was an A. wow
he's an ok prof. i rarely went to class b/c reading the book is basically the same thing... sometimes the book is clearer. The weekly quizzes were lame, you have to make sure your on top of it. His tests were kinda hard but at least theres a curve. sometimes he can be funny in class but overall id say that hes an average teacher
Professor Campagnari's a nice enough guy but whenever I asked about something outside of class his aid was mediocre. I was either in the same position or more confused. If you need help try TA lab or whatever the hell it's called and CLAS. His in class teaching is organized and clear though.

terrible teacher. He is very rude and impatient. I do not recommend taking his class because you will probably have to retake it.
He seems very bored while he lecture like he does not care what he's talking about. The tests are not like the homework and they are too hard. Lectures are not vital to the class. You can do ok because everyone else does horribly so there's a huge curve.
i had to take physics, and this was his first time teaching 6a... first midterm easy, second hard, and final kinda sucked.... i taught myself from the book, in fact, i went **** to class once, just to show that lectures really don't mean anything. homework has nothing to do with the tests....
Well, his lecture is not boring, but I prefer him to do more problems in class. The HW is not related to the tests, so it is not really helpful. Midterms are not too easy, and the final is also tricky. Best thing is that he curves the tests. So you can get an ok grade although you did horribly.
This class seemed particularly hard, the first midterm was easy so he made the second one ridiculously hard. The final was alright but problems don't closely resemble h.w. problems or the ones we did in class. Very difficult, I recommend going to clas.
Great lecturer, I admit he does have a bit of a foreign accent, but people are whining WAY too much about it -- it's still very easily understood, people just need to learn better English. EASY TESTS! Homework is still challenging.
