Exam scores determine everything. Informative on the subject, but his lecture notes were pretty confusing. The final is worth half your grade so the main focus should be on that. Also, sections weren't great.
pretty solid prof and explained concepts well during lectures, cares about his students and encourages participation during class. make use of office hours! sections kinda suck. however, the final is worth 50% of your grade and pretty much determines your final grade so prepare heavily for it, as it was harder than the midterms and practice final
I've never taken calc before but he taught it well. His lectures were comprehensive and the homework was a great way to prepare for the exams. The midterms were almost the same to the practices and the final wasn't too hard. He really wanted to get his students to pass and he made sure to explain the topics if you didn't get it during lecture.
Not bad pretty decent
This guy's TAs are clowns, and his grading criteria is off the charts.
really good prof i recommend
Good lectures and explained the concepts well. The final is a huge chunk of your grade (50%) and the only other big parts of your grade are the midterms so be ready to study for those.
Lectures are very fast paced and hard to keep up with, had to end up teaching myself most of the content because I was more focused on keeping up with everything he was writing down during lectures than learning it. Homework is fair if you know what you're doing. Only tests we have are midterms and finals.
[Fall 2024] Wink was a great professor! He explained differential geometry very well and was extremely helpful in office hours. I struggled with the overwhelming amount of notation, and despite that I learned immensely from him. I definitely advise having a solid topology background before taking this class with him, it would've helped me a lot.
