He's a nice guy, and often has interesting things to say, only someof which are related to what the class is about. Also, he seems quite willing to let people sit there silently for quite a while if no one volunteers any discussion. It seemed like the sort of class where you could get useful discussion if you tried, or just sit there in silence.
he is so full of himself that he doesnt realize sometimes that he makes mistakes and gives us wrong info. the book he likes is by far the worst piece of crap out there along with the unaccurate information in it. thank god for the ta's. his tests were very tricky, but not too hard.
He is a nice guy, but I think that his teaching method did not invoke much interest as needed for a chem class.
What a great teacher! Clear, loud voice. Clear, concise lectures. You need to work for your grade, but his lectures are easy to understand. Midterms and finals are fairly challenging as with any other chem class. also has a curve.
i dont like chem, nor do i understand easily, but this class wasn't bad at all. buratto really explains things well, and the class wasnt that hard
i hate chemistry, but it wasn't so bad with buratto
The midterms weren't too bad. The final was pretty hard. He's a good teacher over all. Sometimes in lecture, he says things you don't need to know like deriving formulas
he talks really loud and writes really big! nice guy.
Mr. Burratto is a really cool professor. He writes really big and does problems step by step, so he is pretty clear. The tests aren't bad, you can just read the book and get good grades.
i love this guy. hes a great chem professor, and his tests arent that bad if you pay attention in class.. or you can even get by with just reading the book.
Really nice guy and writes super big. He talks really loudly, which is good because it's impossible to fall asleep in class. Explains concepts thoroughly and slowly. Tests are kinda hard but manangeable if you take his practice tests.
burrato is an awesome prof! for chemistry, he's the best prof! His exams are exactly what we learned in class, no surprises. Just write down everything he writes on the board and you'll be fine.
He's cool, he goes through lessons quick, so it's best not to fall asleep even for 2 minutes. I hate the grading scale though. 25%, 25%, 50%.... study
Dr. Buratto approached this class differently from the other professors. He would try to give the students a clear understanding of where all the formulas came from, his test were also straight forward and easy.
Buratto was our teacher for 113A and was super easy, so was the material. 113B was so hard. His tests were really hard, and he got so upset that our class averages were so low that he dropped the curve to a C. He is a super nice guy and always willing to help, but quantum mechanics is a tough class.
"YOU GOT A BUFFER! If I wake you up in your sleep, you had better be able to tell me that." Writes extremely large.
great teacher.
John is a great guy and a great poet. Very insightful and available in office hours for interesting talks and advice. Gives excellent feedback on essays and poems to take your writing to the next level. Diaries class is like nothing else -- amazing!!! Must take it.
I didn't take any classes with John the first couple years at school because I'd heard he was boring. Not true! He's insightful, interesting, and a great story teller. Gives great feedback on writing, too. His diaries class is awesome.
I had this guy for Chem 1B after Prof. **** couldn't teach, Burratto is ussualy a P. Chem teacher but taught us Gen Chem and did a GREAT! job, I never went to class, after the first day I came back only for the midterm. Its really easy! I got an A!
He was very helpful and very clear with his teaching! Really good chemistry teacher!
This guy is awesome. HE explains very well and his tests are easy.
AWesome teacher, explains super well and easy to get a good grade if you go to lecture. dont even really have to read. however, hes a little flakey. i waiting for 2 hrs outside his office when he said he was holding office hours and he never showed.
A great teacher
